Today in St.Gemma's Home Ec class we made scones. We used the rubbing-in method. It was quite easy. We just needed to rub the butter into the flour and sugar until it looked like breadcrumbs. We had to knead the dough so that they rose evenly. They ended up looking good. They tasted good too!

Today we made apple crumble, the process was quick and easy. We used the rubbing-in method for the crumble and stewing for the apple, we then placed it in the oven to bake for just over 15 minutes. To mix things up you could modify the recipe and add different fruits such as raspberries or blackberries, depending on what is in-season. You can add some cream or ice cream as a side, garnished with mint!

Today we cooked baguette based pizza's. It was really fun seeing as the other day we moved seats and we were with different partners. They feel and taste crispy they also taste cheesy but that's how we like it. The topping we had today was pepperoni as it is one of our favourites! You can put any topping you want on it, like some of our classmates put, pineapples and vegetables on it. It is also very good for using up stale bread so that it doesn't go to waste.Over all we really recommend them.
